Onguma Tented Camp is in the Onguma Game Reserve. The best feature of the camp is the luxury tents, each with a view over the waterhole. The tents all have an indoor bath with a luxury outdoor shower. Few things are better than starting or ending your day with an outside shower in nature. The U-shaped tent maximises privacy but still allows for excellent views of the natural environment.

The central area of Onguma Tented Camp offers a great view of the waterhole. Here you will find the reception, lounge and dining area. A fire pit is chatting around the fire to end the day. You can also take a dip in the swimming pool. Onguma Tented Camp is a perfect luxury and fully inclusive lodge with the ideal location near Etosha National Park.

Onguma is a fantastic option as it offers a broad spectrum of accommodation options. You can choose your comfort level: from a camping site to a luxury private villa or tented camp. The lodge is close to the Etosha National Park. If you seek a more tranquil location, we highly recommend the Onguma Collection as a highly-rated accommodation. The Onguma tented camp is a tremendous peaceful bush experience with the necessary comforts to offer you well-deserved luxury after a day in the Etosha National Park.

Onguma Tented Camp Accommodation and Facilities:

The Onguma Tented Camp is around a waterhole with seven luxury tents, each overlooking the pool. Each safari tent has a bath and an indoor and outdoor shower. The primary guest area overlooks the reservoir and includes a reception area, comfortable lounge, infinity swimming pool, dining room, and an open fire pit to complement this classic safari-style camp. Free Wi-Fi is available to guests.

No children under 12 are allowed at the camp as it’s unfenced. For a family, the Onguma Bush Camp is more suitable.

Tented Camp Child Policy:

Children of 12 and above stay in their room and pay the full adult rate.

Our Tented Camp has no fences; therefore, no children under 12 will be allowed. The fenced Onguma Bush Camp will be the best option for young children.

The above rate for guides is a nett rate and includes all meals.
Guides receive a guide room rate on arrival.

The all-inclusive rate includes accommodation, two scheduled activities per night stayed, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, selected bar and minibar beverages, transfers to and from Mokuti and Onguma airstrips, VAT, the Social Development Levy and the NTB tourism levy.
Onguma Tented Camp is unfenced and does not accommodate children under 12. Guests aged 12 and older stay in their own tent at the adult rate.
The 2026 rack-rate period runs from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2026. The 2027 rack-rate period runs from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027.
Rates include VAT, the N$10 Social Development Levy and the NTB tourism levy unless specifically stated otherwise. The compulsory conservation levy is charged separately and is VAT-able.
Experience rates are nett and may be added to campsite or dinner, bed and breakfast bookings. Experiences are subject to availability and time restrictions. Activities include beverages in 2026 and beverages and snacks in 2027.
The Onkolo Hide requires at least two guests and is subject to availability; the 2027 maximum is seven guests. The interpretive nature walk has a minimum age of 16, and the Onkolo Hide has a minimum age of 7. Children under 7 may join game drives only when a private vehicle is booked.
The Dream Cruiser accommodates a maximum of two guests, must be booked with lodge or campsite accommodation, is weather dependent and is not included in all-inclusive packages.
Bush breakfast and dinner surcharges require at least two guests. When the meal is not already included, the applicable meal price is charged in addition to the surcharge.
Arrival and departure transfers are included as specified for each lodge. Additional return transfers from Mokuti Airstrip cost N$1800 per vehicle in the 2026 period and N$1980 in the 2027 period; Mokuti landing and parking fees are for the guest’s account.
Standard check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is at 10:00 unless a property-specific policy states otherwise.
Bookings, amendments and cancellations must be made in writing. For bookings of up to three rooms, fees are 10% before 31 days, 25% at 15–30 days, 50% at 8–14 days, and 100% at 0–7 days or no-show. Campsite cancellations that are not postponed incur 100% cancellation fees.
